Project manager – project deployment and management at the customer site
The most important component in every project’s success is the communication between the customer and the service provider. For this purpose, Harel Information Technology decided to provide a personal projects manager that will work with them from the moment that the project begins till the end of the integration stage. The project manager is the customer’s exclusive point of contact with Harel Information Technologies at during all the work stages. Harel’s projects managers have over 10 years experience in the field. Their vast experience enables them to handle all administrative aspects of the deployment while incorporating the appropriate software tools.
Projects managers’ areas of responsibility
- setting a detailed work schedule in coordination with the customer and preparing a work plan
- Overseeing the installation of hardware and requirement software application according the specifications as well as implementing the quality control tests in Harel laboratories
- Handling the hardware transportation to the customer site
- Coordination and management of Harel’s network technicians and engineers as well as subcontractors
- Overseeing the installation phases, integration and assisting in technical and logistic problem solving
- Managing and writing a detailed project file that contains all of the information regarding the hardware and software components in the system, configurations, IP addresses and all relevant information that has been entered into the system in the integration phase
- Providing a copy of the project file, upon completion, to the customer and to the service department at Harel Information Technologies
- Providing a thorough briefing, to the network team leader at Harel Information Technologies in order to transfer the project to the maintenance phase.
- At Harel, the same technicians that deploy the project and do the installations at the customer site are the ones that continue to provide service and support in the coming years after the project’s assimilation. This is a significant advantage since they are familiar with the various systems at the customer site
